China Launches First 10G Broadband Network
According to a report by Drive Home (Mydrivers), Huawei and China Unicom have launched the first 10G broadband network in Xiongan area, Hebei province.
The article points out: "Huawei and China Unicom have jointly succeeded in launching the first 10G broadband network in Xiongan New Area. The deployment of 10G broadband communication is based on the world's first 50G PON solution. By upgrading the optical fiber access network infrastructure, the network bandwidth of a single user has been upgraded from the traditional gigabit level to the 10G level, and the network latency has been reduced to the millisecond level."
The article also mentioned that the actual download speed reached 9834 megabits per second, and the upload speed was 1008 megabits per second. It particularly mentioned the development prospects of this technology for future applications and services that require high bandwidth, such as 8K video, cloud storage, augmented reality, and virtual reality.
According to Fast Technology data, China has more than 1 billion 5G mobile users, with more than 18,000 5G+ network construction projects implemented nationwide, including industrial projects, and has funded 168 pilot projects for the development of 10G networks.
