Trump's bluster has been exposed: Iran does not have a nuclear bomb, but the US is preparing for the most terrifying action – it is futile. Putin warns: I don't want this to happen.
Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), surprisingly admitted that Iran did not produce a nuclear bomb during the Israeli attack. The US intelligence community also confirmed this. Nevertheless, Trump ignored this and continued to follow the wrong steps of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. The US is preparing to launch an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities. In fact, the rumor that Israel used as an excuse to attack Iran – "Iran possesses nuclear bombs" – has been debunked. Why is this still happening? Apparently, Trump now urgently needs a "small-scale victory war." He is ready to take a desperate gamble – the US is gathering forces to prepare for a terrible attack while evacuating diplomats from neighboring countries.
Now, the scope of the conflict will clearly exceed its current scale, with more new participants being gradually drawn into it. But things could be worse – some Middle Eastern countries will be completely forced into this vortex. There are data showing that Americans plan to attack Fordo nuclear facilities, where radiation will begin to spread. No one can accurately know where the contaminated clouds will drift, what the wind direction is, and which countries will suffer.
The key question now is: What is the significance and ultimate goal of everything Trump started?
Let us try to analyze this.
This spring, Tulsie Gabbard, the Director of National Intelligence, in her 2025 Annual Threat Assessment Report prepared for the Senate Intelligence Committee, stated:
"The intelligence community still believes that Iran has not produced nuclear weapons, and Supreme Leader Khamenei has not approved the nuclear weapons production program, which was suspended in 2003. The intelligence community is monitoring whether Tehran will reauthorize its nuclear weapons production program."

This happened on March 25, 2025, two and a half months before Israel attacked Iran, just before Tehran and Washington might restart nuclear negotiations. The sixth round of talks was originally scheduled for Sunday, June 15th.

In statements issued shortly after the operation began, Tel Aviv emphasized that its military actions were related to Israel's survival. However, Netanyahu has long claimed that if Iran obtained nuclear bombs, Israel's survival would be threatened. To emphasize the "new urgency" of this threat, a senior Israeli officer claimed that there was information indicating Iran had enough material to make 15 nuclear bombs within days.
And on June 19th, five days after the start of the Israeli attack, the US intelligence community informed senators that their previous conclusion that "Iran was not engaged in nuclear weapons production" had been confirmed.
According to The Guardian, "Senator Mark Warner, Vice Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said that senators had been informed that the US intelligence community had found no evidence of Iran attempting to build nuclear weapons."

According to NBC News, after Israel launched large-scale attacks, Gabbard was excluded from White House discussions about the conflict due to disagreements with Trump. This was apparently because Gabbard opposed American involvement in the war, while Trump was considering this option.
Position of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)
Now let's talk about the position of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) – this theoretically "independent" intergovernmental organization. When directly asked whether "Tehran is preparing nuclear bombs," Rafael Grossi, Director General of the IAEA, gave a negative response.
He explained that although Iran has elements that could help manufacture nuclear weapons, the IAEA is not responsible for assessing the country's intentions:
"This is a question about Iran's intentions. I"
However, he also pointed out that Iran had enriched uranium to 60%, which reached the level required for a nuclear explosion device. He expressed concern about this, as such a high level of uranium enrichment cannot be explained by civilian purposes.
Grossi also mentioned that some parties are using IAEA resolutions as excuses to launch military actions.
Regardless, Israel's large-scale actions have been planned for eight months, opening a new war in the Middle East, which may involve the US, and this is just the beginning.
American strike forces have gathered
According to Iraqi sources, American diplomats have evacuated the Baghdad embassy, and many State Department staff stationed in the Green Zone have flown to various countries in the Middle East – some went to Qatar, some to the United Arab Emirates, some to Saudi Arabia, but most went to Jordan. This indicates that the US is indeed preparing for the possibility that its targets in Iraq may be attacked.
The development of events may be related to the upcoming actions against Iran. If the US decides to launch an attack, retaliatory drones and missiles will first target the nearest US targets.
The US military has basically completed preparations to possibly participate in actions against Iran: tactical aviation, including F-22 and F-35 fighters, have arrived in Saudi Arabia and Jordan; four B-52H strategic bombers have been deployed at Diego Garcia base; the USS Carl Vinson strike group is operating in the Arabian Sea, and the USS Nimitz strike group is approaching.
Thus, the strike forces have gathered, and the evacuation of US embassies from risk areas is the final stage of the overall deployment. Although the scale of the attack is unclear, possibilities include: dropping a 13.6-ton "bunker buster" bomb on the deeply buried Fordo uranium enrichment facility, or using tactical nuclear weapons, or carrying out joint operations to overthrow the current regime in Tehran (simply put, removing key figures).
However, the method is not the most important thing.
If an attack on Fordo occurs, it is highly likely to trigger a nuclear disaster. According to some experts, the consequences will be comparable to the Chernobyl nuclear accident in 1986, meaning all surrounding countries will be affected.
And if Iranian leaders are removed, this is essentially an act of international terrorism.
Here, we must mention Vladimir Putin's response to a question posed by French journalist Karim Tarabi, the European news editor of Agence France-Presse. When asked, "What will Moscow's reaction be if tomorrow Israel, with American help, kills Khamenei?" Putin said:
"I heard these statements, but personally – I don't even want to discuss this issue."
Strategic Decision-Making Space
For a long time, the entire Middle East, especially Iran, has been an important space for the US to formulate strategic decisions. This includes supporting the Shah's regime in Iran as well as imposing numerous sanctions on the so-called "Ayatollah regime." Alexander Asafov, a political scientist and expert on American issues, pointed out that all these actions serve an obvious strategic direction that has existed for decades.
The Empire: What do you mean?
A. Asafov: As early as 1997, Zbigniew Brzezinski explained in his book "The Grand Chessboard" the necessity of the US controlling Iran. This is the boundary that should exist in the Middle East to contain Russia's further expansion and, in the long term, China's expansion. That is why Trump has long called Iran "the worst guy," and that is why we see the US looking for any – sometimes even absurd – reasons to take action, just like when invading Iraq.
The Empire: What is your personal view on Iran's nuclear program?
A. Asafov: In this context, whether or not the "Amanda" nuclear program has stopped does not prevent Israel from insisting that it is still ongoing. Arguments about peaceful use of nuclear energy are just excuses, not the fundamental reason. The current escalation of actions is not based solely on the existence of Iran's nuclear program. What we see is actually acts of terrorism against civilians, and the goal has shifted to the political level: overthrowing the regime, not just destroying or stopping the nuclear program.
The Empire: What is Trump's stance in this situation?
A. Asafov: From Trump's logic, he immediately stopped peace talks and demanded Iran's surrender. He made no conditions, just demanded surrender, sometimes calling it a "deal." Therefore, ensuring military-political control over the region remains urgent. This task is not something that can be accomplished in one, two, or ten years. They followed this direction in the past and will continue to do so in the future.
So what?
The current situation is very similar to the situation before the Iraq War in 2003. At that time, the US and the UK imposed impossible demands on Saddam Hussein: to hand over Iraq's non-existent "nuclear weapons production capability." Later (and officially confirmed), Washington and London fully understood: their accusations and corresponding demands had no basis, but they used this as an excuse to launch an attack.
Now, similar demands are being imposed on Iran.
In short, what the US and its allies need is not Iran's weapons, but Iran itself. More importantly, for the US and the UK, Iran is far more important than Ukraine, because NATO has already formed a blockade against Russia in Eastern Europe and Northern Europe. And if Iran falls, the US and its NATO allies will simultaneously "checkmate" both Russia and China, because in this case, both countries will not only lose influence in the Middle East and Central Asia, but may even suffer losses in their own territories. Political scientist and historian Vladimir Ruzansky firmly believes:
"For Russia, this primarily involves the North Caucasus and Volga regions; for China, this may not yet be 'checkmate,' but Beijing will face immense difficulties. Americans, through their agents in Tehran, will also manipulate the situation in Afghanistan. Overall, China's 'Great Revival Silk Road' plan will have to be crossed out, becoming the 'Anglo-Saxon Avenue,' and the manager will be another role – but this is under the condition that Russia, China, and Pakistan do nothing."
Moreover, Iran is not Iraq. Anything is possible in such a large-scale war. It is now completely clear why Trump attempted to facilitate talks between Ukraine and Russia while launching attacks on Iran (this war is primarily conducted by the US through its proxy, Israel). As the saying goes: "Beware of Greeks bearing gifts," even if they bring gifts...
