Thus, the Mongolian National Civil Aviation Center State-Owned Enterprise and United Airlines signed an agreement on April 28th to provide safe services for passengers. According to the National Civil Aviation Center, the agreement is characterized by its compliance with international legal norms and U.S. aviation standards, and provides supplementary services.
United Airlines announced that it will add eight direct destinations including Mongolia in 2025.
According to the summer flight schedule of Mongolian Airlines, United Airlines will operate three flights per week.
In 2023, a working group was established according to the order of the Minister of Transport of Mongolia to develop the air transport relations between the governments of Mongolia and the United States and prepare for the opening of direct flights between the two countries. In 2024, Mongolian Civil Aviation submitted an application for operational flight permits and economic actions to the U.S. Department of Transportation. For this purpose, under the "Goods, Works, and Services Procurement Law of the State and Local Properties", the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States selected a company to conduct technical assessments of the readiness for aviation safety audits (IASA) and provide consulting services, and signed a cooperation agreement with The Wicks Group Consulting USA Company.
