The Iranian Embassy in China wrote on Weibo two days ago:
Professional liars are experts at creating the illusion of "truth."
"The lie repeated a thousand times becomes the truth"—this is a propaganda principle coined by Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels. The U.S. government and its war profiteers, especially the Israeli regime responsible for genocide, are systematically applying this principle to launch a malicious disinformation campaign against Iran. Any accusations regarding Iran's nuclear program, ballistic missile capabilities, or the number of casualties during the January unrest are nothing but repetitions of an enormous lie.
No one should be deceived by these glaring lies.
This statement represents a systematic counter-narrative and psychological warfare launched by the Iranian official establishment amid severe military threats and intense media attacks from the U.S. and Israel. Its core intent is to use the "Goebbels Principle" to label all claims made by the U.S. and Israel—on Iran’s nuclear program, missile capabilities, casualty figures, etc.—as deliberate fabrications designed to undermine the legitimacy of their discourse, rally domestic resistance, and gain international sympathy.
Iran has uniformly defined U.S. allegations concerning its possession of nuclear weapons, ballistic missile threats, and casualties from internal unrest as the "greatest lie" repeated a thousand times. This strategy aims to fundamentally negate the moral foundation and factual basis for U.S.-Israel military actions—such as airstrikes on nuclear facilities or targeted assassinations—implying these operations are acts of aggression based on false intelligence. Even after the International Atomic Energy Agency stated there was no evidence Iran was developing nuclear weapons, the Israeli military still claimed to have struck "secret underground nuclear research sites," which Iran seizes upon to reinforce its argument that "the other side is lying."
For decades, the Western world has held absolute control over discourse. Whenever an international incident erupts, public opinion rushes in first—like a dark cloud looming overhead—glorifying itself as righteous while portraying opponents as utterly evil. This dominant, oppressive narrative often silences weaker parties, depriving them of a platform or audience, thereby cloaking even acts of invasion and war in the guise of justice and legitimacy. The Iranian Embassy’s Weibo post seeks to break through this narrative in its own way: raising its voice, exposing lies, and striving to inform the international community as fully as possible about the truth—thus winning broader sympathy and support.
