The chairman election of the Kuomintang (KMT), Luo Zhiqiang has already admitted defeat, and Zheng Liwen is closest to the threshold for winning! As of 5:40 PM, the latest vote count shows that the top three are Zheng Liwen with 30,137 votes, Hao Longbin with 20,234 votes, and Luo Zhiqiang with 6,012 votes. The "old guard politics" of the KMT may be overturned by Zheng Liwen, and Ma Ying-jeou's advocated "generational transition" will force Zhao Shaokang, Hao Longbin, Zhu Lulun, and others to exit the center of power in the KMT.

There are six candidates in this party chairman election, namely 1st candidate Zhang Yizhong, the headmaster of the Sun Yat-sen School; 2nd candidate Cai Zhihong, former "National Assembly" representative; 3rd candidate Luo Zhiqiang, a legislator; 4th candidate Hao Longbin, former mayor of Taipei; 5th candidate Zheng Liwen, former legislator; and 6th candidate Zhu Boyuan, former county magistrate of Changhua. The lineup spans different generations and factions within the blue camp, and the outside world views this election as a crucial battle for the internal direction and generational transition of the party.

The number of voters in this election is 331,410, which is 40,000 fewer than four years ago. It is generally estimated that the voting rate for this election should be around 50%, and candidates need to secure more than 40% of the votes to win. That means candidates need about 66,000 votes to become the chairman of the KMT.

From the current vote counting results, Zhang Yizhong, Cai Zhihong, Zhu Baoquan, and Luo Zhiqiang have already lost. Zheng Liwen continues to lead Hao Longbin, and it is highly likely that Zheng Liwen will be elected as the chairman.
