[ISW: Russian Forces Advance on Multiple Frontline Sectors]

On April 7, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) released a research report stating that Russian forces have advanced on multiple sectors of the frontline once again.

Firstly, in the Kursk and Belgorod directions:

The geolocated images released on April 7 show that Russian forces have recently pushed westward and southward from Gueïovo (south of Suzhia) in Kursk Oblast. Fighting continues in the areas of Gueïovo, Orelchnaïa (northwest of Gueïovo, near the border), and Gornera (southwest of Gueïovo, close to the border) in Kursk Oblast, as well as in the Basovka and Lochen regions of Sumy Oblast. Russian sources report that Ukrainian forces maintain positions in the Orelchnaïa and Gornera settlement areas.

The geolocated images also show that Russian forces advanced in Demidovka (central region northwest of Belgorod). Fighting continued in the aforementioned settlements as well as in the Popovka region.

Secondly, in the Kharkiv and Luhansk directions:

Russian forces continued ground attacks in Lipzov, Volchansk, and Tikhoy areas of Kharkiv Oblast on April 6 and 7 but did not achieve advances.

Russian forces launched offensive operations on April 6 and 7 in the following areas northeast of Kupyansk, near the international border at Kamenka and Figolevka; north of Kupyansk at Malyi Shapovka and Konradishchevka; east of Kupyansk at Petrovskoe; and southeast of Kupyansk at Pechenina and Stebunova Novoselovka.

In addition, Russian forces launched an offensive in the Borov direction but did not achieve advances. On April 6 and 7, ground attacks continued in the Boguslavka area north of Borov, the Novo-Platonovka direction, the Zagrizovo and Novo-Kryliakovka areas northeast of Borov, the Nadegda region east of Borov, and the Grekov, Novo-Sergeevka, and Novo-Yegorovka areas southeast of Borov.

On April 7, Russian forces attempted to attack the Barak-Zhuravka, Novo-Mikhailovka, Ledok-Dub, Novyi, Kolozhaizi, and Yampolevka settlement areas northeast of Lyman, as well as the Toschkoie region east of Lyman.

Thirdly, in the Donetsk direction:

The geolocated images released on April 7 show that Russian forces recently advanced north of Verkhnekaminisk (east of Severodonetsk).

Russian forces launched attacks in the Selevitlna area north of Severodonetsk, the Belogorovka area northeast, and the Verkhnekaminisk area east on April 6 and 7.

Russian forces continued their offensive in the Chasov-Yar direction. They launched attacks near this settlement and in the Kurdyumovka area southeast, but did not achieve advances.

Progress was made in the Toretsk direction. According to geolocated images on April 7, Russian forces recently advanced southwest of the "Central" mine in Toretsk.

Russian forces launched attacks near Toretsk, in the Deilevka and Dachino areas north, in the Shevchenkovka area west, and in the Leonidovka and Romanovka areas southwest on April 6 and 7. Additionally, attacks were launched in the Sukhoi Balka, Alexandropol, and Valentinovka areas southeast of Toretsk.

The geolocated images released on April 7 show that Russian forces made some minor advances in the Uspenovka southwestern area (southwest of Pokrovsk). In addition, images from April 5 and 7 show that Russian forces recently advanced in the central and western parts of Lysovevka (south of Pokrovsk).

According to data from the Institute for the Study of War, Russian forces launched attacks on April 6 and 7:

- In the Tarasovka area northeast of Pokrovsk;

- In the Elizavetovka, Kalinovo, and Vodyano-Druzo areas east;

- In the Lysovevka area southeast;

- And in the Udachnoye, Kotlyarovka, Kotlyino, Uspenovka, Bogdanovka, and Kotlyino areas southwest of Pokrovsk, as well as in the directions of Sergeyevka, Muravka, and Novo-Aleksandrovka.

Russian forces also launched offensive operations on the Kurakhovsk direction on April 6 and 7, specifically in the Andreievka and Konstantinopol regions west of Kurakhov, and in the Rozliv region southwest, but no confirmed progress was achieved.

Russian forces made advances in the Novoselka Velyka direction. The geolocated images from April 6 show that Russian forces recently advanced northeast of Priivolinoye (northwest of Novoselka Velyka).

According to data from the Institute for the Study of War, Russian forces launched attacks on April 6 and 7 in the Skudne area north of Novoselka Velyka and in the Volyno-Polye, Priivolinoye, Veseloje, Fedorovka, and Burlatskoe areas northwest.

Fourthly, in the southern direction:

The geolocated images released on April 7 show that Russian forces recently advanced west of Stebunovoye (northwest of Labotino). Russian forces launched offensive operations in the Labotino northwest areas of Malyi Sherbakovo, Sherbakovo, and Kamyanske on April 6 and 7.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of April 7 at 22:00, 120 combat clashes were recorded on the front line. The most active attacks by Russian forces were in the Pokrovsk direction, where they launched 42 assault actions.
