Foreign Media: Users in Mainland China and Hong Kong Cannot Access SpaceX's Official Website or IPO Documents
SpaceX's official website and IPO roadshow materials are inaccessible in Mainland China and Hong Kong, displaying an "Error 1009" when attempted to access. This could severely limit local investors' ability to participate in what is set to be the largest IPO in history.
SpaceX (ticker symbol SPCX) plans to raise $75 billion, with a valuation of up to $1.75 trillion upon listing—placing it directly among the top ten most valuable companies in the United States and potentially making it the first U.S. company to exceed a $1 trillion valuation at the time of its public debut.
Cybersecurity provider Cloudflare noted that this error typically indicates that the website owner has actively blocked IP access from specific countries or regions. The Honorary President of the Hong Kong Information Technology Federation stated that such blocks are usually deliberate corporate decisions, and it is rare for large corporations to take such measures.
Analysts believe the blockage may be related to SpaceX's status as a defense contractor.
