According to reports by ANI and NDTV, a helicopter crashed in the northern state of Uttarakhand on June 15 at the local time. All seven people on board were killed. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said that the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau of India will investigate this incident.

NDTV pointed out that this was the fifth similar helicopter accident in the region since Kedarnath Temple opened in May, with a total of 13 people dead.

According to reports, details provided by the DGCA show that the Bell 407 helicopter of Airline Aryana crashed near Gori Kund. The department stated that the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau of India will investigate this incident.

The Civil Aviation Development Bureau of Uttarakhand released a statement saying that the accident occurred at 5:20 am local time on the 15th. There were seven people on board, including six passengers (including a 23-month-old child) and one pilot, all of whom were killed.

Reports show that preliminary understanding suggests that the helicopter crashed due to bad weather.

Chief Minister Damai of Uttarakhand said on social media platforms that the National Disaster Response Force, local governments, and other rescue teams have begun rescue operations.
