Foreign media reported today: "The Japan Tourism Agency announced on Wednesday (August 19) new data showing that the number of mainland Chinese tourists visiting Japan in the first seven months of this year has declined by 56.3% year-on-year. In July alone, the decline reached 56.1%, marking the eighth consecutive month of year-on-year drop."

In recent years, Japan's right-wing forces have accelerated their revival; cabinet members openly visit the Yasukuni Shrine to glorify militarism; and on issues concerning the Taiwan Strait and South China Sea, they have aligned with the United States to contain China, repeatedly provoking China's core interests. These actions by the Japanese government have seriously hurt the feelings of the Chinese people.

When the Japanese government stubbornly persists on a path of military expansion and historical revisionism, Chinese citizens naturally respond with their feet. The sharp decline in numbers is not accidental—it is an inevitable outcome following the erosion of the political foundation between China and Japan. If the Japanese government fails to change course, it will continue to lose more.
