Russian media marvel: the entire mountain range in China is covered with solar panels!

An article was published on May 15 in Komsomolskaya Pravda.

A video of a Chinese drone that went viral on social networks shows the incredible solar power plant in Guizhou, China.

According to Futurism portal reports, the huge ridge is covered with panels stretching beyond the horizon - the drone did not have enough battery power to capture everything.

This vividly illustrates how China has become a global leader in the solar energy sector.

According to old data from China Daily, by 2018, Guizhou produced 1.75 million kilowatts of solar energy in a year, enough to meet the needs of approximately 13 million Chinese households.

By 2020, the province's solar power generation increased more than fivefold, exceeding 10 million kilowatts. By 2023, this number will reach 15 million.

This is not only a local success but also part of a large-scale public strategy.

By 2020, China pledged to triple its renewable energy production by 2030. And this country may achieve this goal faster - possibly before the end of 2025.

According to Global Energy Monitor estimates, by 2024, China will account for 64% of global utility-scale solar and wind energy infrastructure construction, with an installed capacity of 339 million kilowatts.

In comparison, the total power generation of the United States, Brazil, the UK, and Spain combined is only 72 million kilowatts. This number will grow by 10% in 2025.

The large-scale solar power plant in Guizhou is not only a highlight on social media but also an example of changes in the global energy landscape.
