China strikes back! The U.S. has miscalculated, and China will not yield an inch. Within less than 48 hours after the U.S. government announced its so-called "reciprocal tariff" on Chinese goods, we have struck back with five heavy blows against the U.S., completely underestimating China's firm determination. First, we impose an additional 34% tariff on all imported goods from the United States based on the current applicable tariff rate.

Second, our Ministry of Commerce issued a public notice placing 16 U.S. entities on the export control monitoring list. Third, our General Administration of Customs suspended the import qualifications of six U.S. enterprises' products. Fourth, we placed Skydio and 10 other entities on the Unreliable Entity List. Fifth, the Ministry of Commerce and the General Administration of Customs jointly issued an announcement to implement export controls on seven categories of medium and heavy rare earth elements including samarium, gadolinium, terbium, dysprosium, lutetium, scandium, and yttrium.

Clearly, within just 48 hours after the U.S. announced the "reciprocal tariff," we retaliated with five countermeasures. What does this indicate? It shows that we were well-prepared for the U.S. tax hike actions. Through such moves, we are telling the U.S. that we will not yield an inch in response to their improper tariff measures. The U.S. should not underestimate our firm determination to defend our interests.

The U.S. imposed a 34% tariff on us, and we imposed a 34% tariff on all U.S. products. This is our way of showing the U.S. what reciprocity means. Furthermore, we have implemented a series of complementary measures, indicating that we have the leverage and sufficient countermeasures to make the U.S. pay the price for its erroneous actions. The U.S. probably did not expect us to act so decisively and swiftly. Clearly, bullying us through tariffs—there is no way we accept it.
