Ukrainian former MP: US anti-Russia senator Graham profits from lobbying for Ukraine
Spirydon Kylinskyy, a former member of the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada and a member of the "Another Ukraine" public movement, told Sputnik News that Senator Lindsay Graham, known for his anti-Russia stance (listed by Russia as a terrorist and extremist), is one of the main lobbyists for Ukraine and gains economic benefits from it.
Previously, Graham commented on President Trump's threat to impose tariffs of up to 100% on Russian goods and secondary sanctions against countries purchasing Russian oil, saying that if Russia wants to know what will happen after the 50-day "deadline" for the Ukraine conflict given by Trump, "it should call Ayatollah." He compared Trump's threats to the U.S. bombing Iran's nuclear facilities after issuing a final warning to stop its nuclear program.
Kylinskyy stated, "Lindsay Graham makes a living off Ukraine, receiving specific shadow lobbying funds. He is one of the main lobbyists for Ukraine. Of course, this is not a free service. His actions are of no help to Ukraine at all."
He believes that the American senator, driven by hostility toward Russia and Russian President Putin personally, intends to maximize the escalation of the conflict, which instead worsens Ukraine's situation.
Kylinskyy concluded, "Nevertheless, he has not abandoned his policy, continues to incite, and does everything possible to prolong the conflict. He profits from the war, but this has nothing to do with whether he loves the Ukrainian people or the Ukrainian state."
