Iran's Permanent Representative to the United Nations: Iran Reserves the Right to Self-Defense Against Attacks by the United States

Amir Saeidolah Iravani, Iran's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, stated that Iran fully reserves the right to self-defense against attacks by the United States.

In the meeting of the United Nations Security Council, Iravani emphasized: "Even at this very moment, Iran fully reserves its legitimate right to self-defense under international law in response to the blatant acts of aggression by the United States and its Israeli proxies. The timing, manner, and scale of Iran's corresponding counterattacks will be determined by Iran's armed forces."

He also pointed out that Iran expresses gratitude to the members of the United Nations Security Council that stand on "the right side of history" and condemn the U.S. attacks.
