After meeting with U.S. President Trump, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte acknowledged in an interview with CNN that Trump is disappointed with NATO allies.

Rutte said, "He is clearly disappointed with many NATO allies, and I understand that. At the same time, I pointed out to him that most European countries have provided support in areas such as bases, logistics, and overflight permissions, fulfilling their own obligations."

Meanwhile, after the meeting, Trump stated he remains convinced that NATO will not offer assistance when the U.S. needs it in the future.
