"Israel Strikes Iran: Nuclear Facility Bombed, IDF Says Key General Killed"
Israel's military targets in Iran have been identified.
During the night of June 12 to 13, Israeli forces launched a series of attacks on Iranian territory. Tel Aviv stated that the operation, named "Am Kela'vi" (meaning "People as Lions"), aimed to eliminate Iran's nuclear threat.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israeli forces had attacked Natanz, "Iran's main uranium enrichment facility." Local residents also confirmed hearing a series of explosions in the nuclear facility area.
It is worth noting that Netanyahu emphasized that Israel is at a historic moment, and this action aims to destroy Iran's nuclear infrastructure, ballistic missile production plants, and its military potential.
In the meantime, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced that the first phase of strikes against Iran's military targets has been completed, revealing that they had attacked residential areas in Tehran with the intention of assassinating Chief of Staff of Iran, Mohammad Baqeri. The Israeli side claimed that this senior general was dead, but Iran's official sources have not confirmed this, only stating that a missile attack caused a fire in an urban apartment building and resulted in casualties.
In addition, Imam Khomeini International Airport in Tehran has suspended operations, and the explosion site is being handled by emergency services.
It is reported that Israel has placed its air defense units on alert in case of Iranian retaliation. Media reports said that Iran had launched ballistic missiles, while U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio urged Tehran not to take hostile actions against U.S. forces in the region and emphasized that Israel acted unilaterally against Iran, with Washington "fully uninvolved."
