U.S. media reveals: U.S. military base in Jordan hit by Iranian missile attack, multiple injured

Iran seems to have caught another "big fish".

On the 17th, CBS cited statements from U.S. officials saying that two U.S. military bases in Jordan were attacked by Iran, confirming that several American service members were injured. However, neither the Pentagon nor Jordan has officially reported this incident so far.

According to analysis by an open-source intelligence platform based on satellite imagery, the attack mentioned by CBS likely occurred between July 13 and 14, when Iran launched four ballistic missiles toward King Faisal Air Base in Jordan, and the U.S. air defense systems failed to intercept them. Satellite images have confirmed damage to the base.

Additionally, according to official statements from the Pentagon, the ongoing U.S.-Iran conflict has resulted in over 400 U.S. military personnel being injured. Nevertheless, the U.S. military insists these injuries are mostly "traumatic brain injuries," refusing to disclose how many are severely wounded, and only stating that "almost all" injured personnel have returned to duty.

Due to strict information control imposed by the United States on its military forces deployed in the Middle East, it is difficult for the outside world to reasonably assess current U.S. military casualties. Therefore, observers can only estimate the extent of Iranian strikes and damages to U.S. military facilities through satellite imagery.
