According to CNN on April 1 local time, a US official and two people familiar with the relevant plan revealed that Russian President's Special Representative Dmitryev is expected to visit Washington this week and meet with senior officials of the Trump administration, Wittkoff, to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and seeking solutions to end the conflict in Ukraine.

The report said that his visit will be the first time since the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine conflict in 2022 that a senior Russian official has traveled to Washington for talks, marking another step in the obvious warming of relations between the two countries since Trump took office this year.
According to sources familiar with the matter, the US government temporarily lifted sanctions on Dmitryev to allow the US Department of State to issue him a visa to enter the United States. Another source said that the US Treasury Department had received a request to temporarily suspend sanctions against Dmitryev.
A spokesperson for the US Department of State told CNN, "In accordance with US law, visa records are confidential, so we cannot comment on individual visas."
Representatives of Dmitryev declined to comment.
