Recently, the Trump administration threatened to revoke visas for many of the approximately 277,000 Chinese students in the U.S., and impose additional scrutiny on future applicants from mainland China and Hong Kong.

According to RT, at a press conference on June 4th, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zakharova responded to how to evaluate the U.S. revoking Chinese student visas.

Zakharova said, "This is another measure by the U.S. to contain and confront China."

She consoled the Chinese students who have been treated unfairly and invited them to study in Russia. "I have a specific suggestion for Chinese students: if you encounter discrimination while studying in the U.S., don't be discouraged. Russian education has a high reputation and competitiveness in the global education market. Universities in Moscow, the Central Federal District, and other regions of Russia accept Chinese students. There are universities in various regions of our country that may interest you. The knowledge learned by Chinese talents will be widely applied in practice. This is also evident, as they have achieved great success in various fields. So don't lose hope, look forward, see other alternative options, and we (Russia) are ready."
