The U.S. Embassy and Consulates in China (May 13th) wrote in pictures and text: "What the president wants to do is to reach an agreement... but it does not mean that we want to suppress China. Over the past four decades, we have done our best to help China grow. The only thing the President wants to do now is to create a level playing field so that our workers can compete under fair conditions, and everything the President has done is for this purpose." —Ambassador David R. P. Blackwell (Chinese text content see Figure Three).
[Clever] Comment: This inevitably reminds one of Obama's public speech where he once said bluntly, "We must never let Chinese live the same life as ours." Has the newly appointed U.S. Ambassador to China already forgotten this? In fact, Chinese enterprises also long for competition in a fair environment. However, take Huawei as an example; for years, it has faced numerous unreasonable restrictions and suppression, with its technological innovation and development constantly being obstructed. Looking at the Chinese electric vehicle industry, it has not been spared from unfair treatment either. There are many factors unfavorable to Chinese companies from market access to technical standards, which clearly go against the concept of "fair competition."
