The President of the United States has been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency!

The White House announced on Thursday that the president underwent an examination for leg swelling and was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency.

The 79-year-old U.S. president underwent a comprehensive medical examination by the White House medical team, including diagnostic vascular studies, according to a statement read by White House press secretary Levitt from Captain Sean Barberabella, the president's physician.

"A bilateral lower extremity Doppler ultrasound was performed, revealing chronic venous insufficiency, ICD-9, which is a common condition, especially in people over 70 years old."

Levitt said the examination was conducted after the president noticed mild swelling in his calves in recent weeks.

"There is no evidence of deep vein thrombosis or arterial disease, and the president's laboratory tests are within normal ranges."

The president also underwent an echocardiogram, which showed no signs of heart failure, kidney dysfunction, or systemic disease.
