At 1:35 a.m. Beijing time on Friday, the Shenzhou 20 crew members Chen Dong, Chen Zhongrui, and Wang Jie closely coordinated their work for about six hours of EVA. With the support of the space station's robotic arm and ground researchers, they successfully completed all scheduled tasks. The China Manned Space Agency announced on Friday that astronauts Chen Zhongrui and Wang Jie have safely returned to the Wentian laboratory module, marking the successful completion of the mission.

During the EVA, Chen Zhongrui and Wang Jie installed debris protection devices on the space station and inspected external equipment and facilities. This was the first joint EVA by the third batch of Chinese astronauts. According to the China Manned Space Agency, so far, the Shenzhou 20 crew has completed four EVAs, making them one of the Chinese crews with the most spacewalks.

The China Manned Space Agency stated in a press release that the crew has been in orbit for more than 150 days. According to the plan, they will continue to conduct extensive scientific experiments and technical tests, and will celebrate National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival at the Chinese space station.
