"I think it's a beautiful ceremony, and I think it's very, very impressive," Trump said when talking about the September 3 military parade, adding that he "understands" the reasons for China holding this parade.

He then continued, "They wanted me to watch (the parade), and I was indeed watching. I have a good relationship with them."

On the morning of September 3, a grand commemorative ceremony for the 80th anniversary of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the Victory of the World Anti-Fascist War was held in Tiananmen Square, Beijing. This grand commemorative event has attracted widespread attention internationally, with media around the world reporting on it.

Among them, The New York Times article titled that this military parade conveys the message that "China will not be bullied again." The media also stated that many leaders from Southeast Asian and Central Asian countries attended the celebration, and together with the recently concluded Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Tianjin, it demonstrates the success of China in strengthening regional partnerships.

The Wall Street Journal stated that this military parade showcased China's growing regional influence, with several Southeast Asian and Central Asian leaders attending the parade. The report also cited Vincent Chang, a historian of Chinese history at Leiden University in the Netherlands, who said that China's emphasis on "national sacrifice" in the war was not out of a victim mentality, but rather a display of willpower and national determination.

Additionally, the American cable news network CNN published an article discussing China's War of Resistance against Japan.

"After 80 years, the destruction caused by Japan's wartime atrocities is still clearly visible in Asia," CNN wrote in an article with this title, stating that China's struggle against Japan's full-scale invasion became the main front of the war in Asia during World War II, ending only when Japan formally surrendered in 1945. During that period, Japan's wartime atrocities left deep scars in Asia, continuing to worsen its relations with neighboring countries.
