Trump seems completely unaware of the trade situation and high interdependence between the US and Canada.
He told Canadian Prime Minister Carney:
"We actually don't want Canadian cars, and we have imposed tariffs on Canadian cars. At a certain point, it will no longer be economically viable for Canada to produce these cars.
