The US President Donald Trump is considering selling or gifting the Tesla Model S he purchased earlier this year to support Elon Musk.

According to reports from the Global Times, Trump disclosed on June 9 (EDT) that he was thinking about getting rid of the red Tesla that has been parked at the White House, but he has no intention of halting the use of "Starlink" satellite services in the White House, as the service is very good.

In March this year, the White House added the Starlink Wi-Fi service gifted by SpaceX, owned by Musk, to improve the wireless network connection within the building complex.

However, SpaceX's commercial ambitions have recently suffered setbacks. As of now, a total of 583 satellites have been lost from the "Starlink" project, with approximately one out of every fifteen satellites falling.

Musk previously worked at the "Department of Government Efficiency" and directly participated in significantly reducing federal expenditures. On May 30th, after leaving the Trump administration, he harshly criticized the "massive tax and spending 'Great Beautiful' bill" promoted by the Trump administration, calling it nauseating.

This massive tax and spending plan will cut taxes by $4 trillion over the next ten years while reducing expenditures by at least $1.5 trillion. Tax incentives for purchasing electric vehicles and clean energy products introduced during Biden's presidency will be canceled, which will impact electric vehicle manufacturers including Tesla.

Musk accused the bill of causing a significant increase in the U.S. government budget deficit to $2.5 trillion, negating all the work done by the Department of Government Efficiency in cutting expenditures, leading to the bankruptcy of the United States.

In addition to Tesla, Musk's SpaceX, Starlink, and other projects have contracts with the U.S. government or enjoy subsidies and tax breaks.

Furthermore, Bannon, a former advisor to Trump, revealed that in mid-April this year, Musk had an argument with Treasury Secretary Bessent outside the Oval Office regarding the selection of the IRS acting director, even resorting to physical conflict. Trump ultimately decided to support the person recommended by Bessent, greatly displeasing Musk.

According to Bannon, after Musk and Bessent left the Oval Office, they had an argument in the corridor. Bessent accused Musk of being a complete liar, and Musk immediately used his shoulder like a football player to collide with the other party's chest. Bessent immediately retaliated. The staff at the White House finally intervened to stop their brawl, and Musk was subsequently escorted out of the West Wing of the White House.

White House Press Secretary Leavitt responded afterward, stating that she did not personally witness the incident but only heard about it indirectly. She downplayed the details, saying it was just verbal disagreement, though reiterating that Trump had put aside his differences with Musk and that the entire administration was focused on passing the "Great Beautiful" bill. This bill narrowly passed in the House of Representatives at the end of May, and the Senate is expected to vote on it before July 4th.

Trump, on the other hand, warned that he had many agendas to push forward and had no time to deal with Musk. Their relationship was over, and if Musk were to support the political opponent of the Republican Party, he would pay a heavy price. Additionally, sources revealed that the Trump team was plotting revenge for Musk's "betrayal."

After falling out with Trump, Musk became an object of interest for the Democratic Party. He once initiated a poll among his 220 million followers on June 5th, asking whether it was time to create a truly centrist new political party representing 80% of Americans in the United States. The survey results showed that more than 80% of respondents supported this idea.

However, as time went on, Musk may be seeking to repair relations with the White House. He has deleted several critical posts targeting Trump, including one advocating for impeachment.

Moreover, after continuous unrest erupted in Los Angeles, California, Musk posted a screenshot of a tweet from Trump to show his support. Trump's post stated that as conflicts erupted, cars were set on fire, and demonstrations intensified, Governor Newsom of the Democratic Party and Mayor Bass of Los Angeles should apologize to all residents of Los Angeles.

In addition, Musk commented on a video interview with Vice President Vance, saying: "Cool." In the video, Vance said that everything would be fine if Musk could be rational.

The easing of relations between both parties is most pleasing to investors. Dan Ives, an analyst at WedBush, wrote that Trump needs Musk to maintain close ties with the Republican Party, while Musk needs Trump to greenlight Tesla's autonomous driving at the federal level.
