Russian media: China begins mass production of BV100 nuclear batteries that can work for 50 years!
Russia has also developed such batteries, but they are too expensive.
On April 2nd, multiple Russian media reported.
Chinese company BetaWater has launched large-scale production of the BV100 nuclear power station, and this battery can operate without charging for 50 years.
Russian media briefly mentioned that the company's scientific team has developed a unique single-crystal diamond semiconductor with a thickness of only 10 microns, placing 2-micron-thick nickel-63 sheets between two diamond semiconductor converters.
Russian experts pointed out: This battery can meet the long-term power supply needs of various scenarios including aerospace, artificial intelligence devices, medical equipment, micro-electromechanical systems, advanced sensors, and miniature robots.
Russian experts also pointed out that Russia had previously developed similar batteries called Rosatom, but for the market, it was too expensive.
Now, Chinese companies have announced the start of large-scale production, but there is no report on the price of its nuclear batteries.
Russian netizen Andrey Artamonov said:
"This may be relatively cheap for China, but for us, it is a huge cost!"
