Putin decided to release two Hungarian-origin prisoners of war who were forcibly conscripted into the Ukrainian army

Putin announced this news during a meeting with Hungarian Foreign Minister Szijjártó.

Putin specifically pointed out that Hungarian Prime Minister Orbán mentioned this matter in a recent call and requested consideration for the release of Hungarian citizens captured by Russian forces.

"These citizens have dual Ukrainian-Hungarian nationality. They were forcibly conscripted. I have made the decision to release these two people."

Putin said that Szijjártó could take them back to Budapest on the same private jet from Moscow.
