At the moment when the United States is launching a military attack against Iran, on July 13, the U.S. Embassy in Australia issued a statement claiming that we reiterate our strong opposition to any actions undermining stability or unilateral measures—especially those involving force or coercion—that threaten peace and stability in the region. This is a joint statement from the governments of the United States, Australia, Canada, Estonia, Germany, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, New Zealand, the Republic of the Philippines, Romania, Slovenia, and the United Kingdom.

Evidently, this declaration, spearheaded by the United States, is profoundly ironic. While the U.S. itself is using military force to undermine peace and stability in the Middle East, it dares to claim "strong opposition to any destabilizing or unilateral actions"—a stance that contradicts its own behavior. Meanwhile, these thirteen countries have blindly echoed America’s position, revealing an outright double standard so blatant it borders on farce.

Naturally, for us, such assertions are nothing more than worthless paper. No matter how many countries the U.S. allies with, they cannot forcibly impose their views upon us. On one hand, the U.S. undermines peace in the Middle East; on the other, it attempts to portray itself as a peace "guardian" in the Asia-Pacific region. But this hypocrisy has already been thoroughly recognized by the international community. A single joint statement, in reality, amounts to nothing more than a piece of paper.
