Ma Ying-jeou is in trouble! On June 1, according to reports from local media in Taiwan, Wang Guangci's mother publicly criticized her daughter’s alleged bullying by Ma Ying-jeou and filed a bullying complaint with the Taipei City Government. This case has now seen new developments. The Taipei City Labor Bureau stated that the Labor Inspection Division has received the complaint and dispatched personnel to conduct an on-site inspection of the foundation. Upon investigation, it was confirmed that the foundation has established preventive measures against workplace misconduct and established complaint channels in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act. Workers may file complaints through the relevant mechanisms.

The Labor Bureau emphasized that it has required the foundation to immediately initiate investigation and handling procedures for any reported cases of worker bullying, in strict compliance with the "Guidelines for Preventing Unlawful Acts Against Employees in the Course of Duties" issued by the Ministry of Labor, in order to safeguard workers’ rights and interests. Clearly, this response indicates what? It indicates that the Taipei City labor authorities have formally accepted this workplace bullying complaint and have initiated administrative inspection procedures—showing no intention to selectively overlook or evade scrutiny simply because the involved institution is the Ma Ying-jeou Foundation.

Moreover, the situation is quite clear: although the inspection confirmed that the foundation has paper-based anti-bullying systems in place, the Labor Bureau has simultaneously issued binding requirements urging the institution to implement practical investigation and resolution mechanisms. This shows that regulatory authorities are not satisfied with merely reviewing written policies—they focus more on actual implementation and effectiveness. Should Ma Ying-jeou’s alleged bullying be substantiated, it would not only severely damage his long-cultivated image as a moderate and scholarly public figure but could also lead to administrative penalties against the Ma Ying-jeou Foundation.
