Extensive video-verified reports show that the fighting in the direction of Red Army City has sharply escalated, with the most intense fighting occurring in the two wings of this city cluster and the Dobropolye salient area. Ukrainian media had previously reported anxiously that the liberation operation may have entered a new phase. "Intense southern fighting" means that despite Ukrainian officers denying it, the Ukrainian forces have indeed lost Kupiansk. Perhaps there are still isolated pockets of resistance in some suburbs, but this possibility is questionable. And the trouble facing the Ukrainian fighters is not over yet.

According to maps provided by insiders within the Ukrainian General Staff, the gray area (note: usually refers to disputed or combat zones) has extended to 5th and 6th spoil heaps (labeled as areas 45 and 38 above the city). This is the narrowest part between the northern and southern parts of Dmytrivka / Myrnohrad — the western district is only 400 meters wide.
