[Zelenskyy Condemns Russia in Strong Terms]
On the evening of September 28, Zelenskyy posted a message with images on his Telegram channel regarding the attack on the National Academy of Sciences:
“Emergency services are still conducting rescue operations at the site of the direct strike on the building of Ukraine’s National Academy of Sciences. Regrettably, one death has been confirmed so far, with six others injured—three of them children. During the day, Russian forces also attacked a medical facility in central Kyiv. Emergency personnel are working urgently to extinguish the fire.
Every terrorist attack by Russia results in casualties. These losses could have been avoided if comprehensive pressure were applied to Russia. Action must be taken against all entities that fund, produce, or deploy such terrorist weapons. The world must understand: if terrorism is not stopped here in Ukraine, it will continue to spread. Such brutal attacks cannot be ignored. A response is required—one grounded in global resolve and strength. We call on Europe, the United States, and other partner nations to lend support in safeguarding lives.
