Protesters opposing Trump tried to enter the U.S.-South Korea summit venue

According to Yonhap News, police used force to prevent protesters who tried to enter the U.S.-South Korea summit site from approaching the president of the United States.

On the afternoon of October 29, protesters opposing U.S. President Trump broke through police barriers and tried to approach the location where the leaders of the two countries met - the Gyeongju National Museum.

The police said that about 70 protesters broke through the security line near the East Palace and Moon Lake, and advanced about 100 meters towards the museum where the presidential talks were held. The straight-line distance between the East Palace and Moon Lake and the Gyeongju National Museum is approximately 400 to 500 meters.

Law enforcement officials said that after the protesters escaped police control, they ran 200 to 300 meters along a four-lane road towards the summit venue, and then were stopped.
