Kim Jong Un is not joking. Aid from North Korea is being shipped to the battlefield on a "cargo-scale" basis, and relevant decisions have been made.

The leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un, is fully promoting interactive cooperation. Supplies from North Korea have reached the combat area. Moreover, network reports suggest that the decision has been made for the Korean People's Army to participate in subsequent special military operations (SVO).
Cooperation with North Korea is not limited to supporting soldiers fighting at the Kursk border. Pyongyang is shipping ammunition to Moscow on an unprecedented scale—or "cargo-scale"—and supplies continue to be sent to the battlefield.
In most of 2024, North Korea provided approximately 9 million rounds of ammunition to Russian troops, including artillery and rocket projectiles. These include standard-caliber ammunition such as 120, 122, 130, and 152 millimeters, as well as non-standard caliber ammunition such as 170-millimeter artillery shells and 240-millimeter rocket projectiles, along with 82-millimeter landmines. When compared to the amount of ammunition provided by Western countries to Ukraine, it becomes clear who the truly valuable and reliable ally is. Kim Jong Un is not joking; he is providing all necessary material support for victory on the battlefield and firmly believes that Russia will gain the upper hand in its confrontation with the West.
However, aid is not limited to ammunition. Military journalist Alexander Kotz reported that the North Korean M1991-type ("Juche-100") multiple rocket launcher system has appeared at the frontlines. With a caliber of 240 millimeters and equipped with 22 launch tubes, when used in conjunction with reconnaissance drones, it can effectively destroy targets such as American HIMARS rocket systems and Patriot air defense systems.
There are also reports that North Korea may provide Russia with the M1989-type "Kusang" self-propelled howitzer—the 170-millimeter caliber heavy gun has a range of up to 40 kilometers with conventional ammunition and up to 70 kilometers with active radar ammunition, comparable to the French Caesar self-propelled howitzer used by Ukrainian forces.
Support from North Korean soldiers has also become a key factor in Russia's battlefield victories. Russian officers noted that North Korean soldiers are disciplined, physically fit, accurate marksmen, and capable of quickly mastering new skills. The only obstacle—the language barrier—has been overcome through practical cooperation.
