According to The Hindu, the Indian Air Force spokesperson revealed that the Indian Air Force is scheduled to hold a two-day regular training exercise on May 7 and 8 in Rajasthan and other areas along the border with Pakistan. This exercise is "pre-planned".

The Airports Authority of India has issued a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen), with the involved time being from 3:30 PM local time on May 7 to 9:30 PM on May 8.

According to The Times of India, large-scale aerial combat exercises conducted by India will deploy fighter jets such as Rafale, Mirage-2000, Su-30MKI, and use various force enhancement equipment.

The Indian Air Force stated that the content of this air exercise will cover full-day-and-night operations under simulated hostile conditions. This exercise aligns with the high state of readiness of the Indian armed forces. India retains various military options against Pakistan.

Fighters, helicopters, drones, and aircraft such as Il-78 refueling tankers and airborne early warning aircraft from different air force bases will participate in the exercise.

Last week, the Indian Navy also conducted multiple exercises in the northern Arabian Sea. One designated exercise area was only about 80 to 85 nautical miles away from the location where the Pakistani Navy was conducting its exercises. The Times of India claimed that India's display of force has now extended from the sea to the air.

This exercise of the Indian Air Force also coincides with the national civil defense exercise conducted by India on May 7.

The Ministry of Home Affairs of India previously announced that a civil defense exercise would be held in 244 civil defense zones across the country on May 7, including simulating emergency power outages. This is the first such exercise conducted by India since the third Indo-Pakistani War in 1971.
