House Speaker Mike Johnson said today that he has not yet seen the video of the controversial and war crime-charged maritime strike.

The Republican speaker said he was unable to attend a classified briefing with Hegseth and Rubio this week because he was discussing with House Republican lawmakers their proposed healthcare plan at the time.

Johnson did not take a position on whether the video should be widely released, partly because he has not watched the video yet.

"We'll see," he said.

Democrats have been urging the Trump administration to release the video of the second strike on a reportedly drug-smuggling ship that had lost power in the Caribbean Sea on September 2nd. The strike resulted in 11 deaths, including two men who died during a subsequent strike, reportedly still clinging to the vessel.
