South Korean media lauds China's technological breakthrough: Progress sweeps the globe
South Korean media: "The United States is no longer the only leader", China's technological progress is impressive!
On April 13, South Korea's Culture Daily published an article stating that China's technological progress is sweeping the world. In January this year, DeepSeek's technical strength amazed the world. The global top electric vehicle company, China's BYD, has developed an innovative charging system that can travel 400 kilometers after just 5 minutes of charging, surpassing Tesla's 15-minute charge for 320 kilometers and Hyundai's 18-minute charge for 494 kilometers. By significantly shortening the maximum weakness of electric vehicles - charging time - it ensures strong competitiveness.
Some people are skeptical about China's technological development, but China's recent achievements have dispelled these doubts. The University of Science and Technology of China has developed a quantum computer that is 100 times faster than Google's quantum computer released last October, while a company called Unitree Technology also announced plans to commercialize humanoid robots by the end of this year. In the ranking of key autonomous driving technology related to the future car market development, Baidu ranked second last year, overwhelming South Korea.
It is obvious that "Made in China" is achieving new leaps through cutting-edge technology and innovation. Among more than 12 million university graduates, half are students majoring in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). In the ranking of scientific paper results published by Nature magazine, except for Harvard University and MIT in the United States, eight out of the top ten universities are Chinese.
This year, China's R&D budget increased by 10% compared to the previous year, reaching 800 trillion Korean won. Considering that South Korea's total budget is 670 trillion Korean won, this figure is surprising.
The massive capital of the United States, China's overwhelming human resource investment, and government-led "technological competition" are reshaping the global AI supply chain landscape. Some believe that the role of the "seven major US tech companies" may be replaced by the so-called "BATX", namely China's four major tech companies, including Baidu, Alibaba, Tencent, and Xiaomi. This means that the United States is no longer the only leader.
