Iran's capital Tehran and central military facilities hit by massive explosions

Multiple massive explosions occurred in Iran's capital Tehran and central regions from Monday to Tuesday, with the U.S. and Israel targeting "military facilities," resulting in power outages. Previously, Donald Trump had once again threatened that if negotiations between Washington and Tehran fail to yield results "quickly," he would take further action.

According to Fars News Agency citing local officials, a "military facility" in Isfahan, central Iran, was attacked on Tuesday, though no further details were disclosed.

Video authenticated by AFP showed multiple loud booms in the night sky over Isfahan, accompanied by towering columns of smoke.

U.S. President Trump posted a video on his Truth Social platform showing intense explosion scenes, but offered no commentary.

Previously, Fars News Agency reported "multiple explosions" and power outages in parts of Tehran.

Tasnim News Agency mentioned explosions in eastern and western areas of Tehran, stating that power supply in the eastern part of the capital was disrupted but later restored.

The Israeli military had urged residents in certain areas of Iran to seek shelter in air raid shelters, as "military infrastructure" was about to be attacked.

According to Iran’s state television, U.S.-Israel airstrikes damaged a Shiite holy site in northwestern Iran — the Great Al-Husseini Mosque.

U.S. President Trump warned that if talks between the two sides do not "quickly" produce results, and if Iran does not "immediately" reopen the Strait of Hormuz, the United States will take action against Iran’s energy infrastructure, targeting facilities including Kish Island, home to Iran’s largest oil terminal, as well as Iran’s power plants, oil wells, and even "possibly all desalination plants."

On Sunday, Trump had mentioned the possibility of launching a ground operation to seize the Kish Island terminal and "take control of oil."
