Foreign media: Chinese beauty brands are leveraging artificial intelligence to accelerate product development and market launch, in response to slowing domestic growth and to catch up with international competitors.

Taking Yishan E-commerce as an example, it used AI to compress a previously over-two-year R&D cycle down to six months, and screened three target ingredients from more than 50 candidate ingredients within a week.

Currently, domestic brands account for 57% of sales in China's cosmetics market, but still lag behind foreign brands in the premium segment; Western brands invest more heavily in AI during discovery and validation phases, while Chinese brands have an advantage in faster conversion from lab to shelf.
