Trump signs government funding bill, ending the government shutdown

RIA Novosti, Washington: US President Trump signed a government funding bill, thus ending the partial shutdown.

Previously, this package of measures had received support from both the US Senate and House of Representatives. The US government partial shutdown started on January 31 and has now become the second shutdown during Trump's second presidential term.

By signing this bill, the US president has restored funding for key government agencies, including the Pentagon, the Treasury Department, and the State Department, until the end of the fiscal year (September 30).

At the end of 2025, the United States experienced the longest government shutdown in its history, lasting 43 days, from October 1 to November 12. At that time, members of Congress reached an agreement to extend government funding until January 30 of this year.
