Russian divers have released a video showing the wreckage of a "Storm Shadow" cruise missile that has sunk to the seabed. The cruise missile, which was shot down by Russian forces, appears to have a relatively intact warhead. According to the divers' instruments, the water depth is five meters, possibly in the Azov Sea.
This air-launched cruise missile was jointly developed by the UK and France, with a range of about 300 kilometers. It uses a tandem warhead, which gives it strong penetration capability. It also features a unique low-observability aerodynamic shape and radar-absorbent materials, making its radar cross-section (RCS) very small. The Ukrainian military mainly uses modified Su-24 fighter-bombers as the launch platform for this missile. However, both the UK and France have limited stocks of this missile, and its use by the Ukrainian military has become rare in later stages.
