Middle East War Heats Up! Zheng Liwen: "Taiwan is Running Out of Air"

Guomindang Chairman Zheng Liwen criticized the Democratic Progressive Party's (DPP) erroneous energy policy today (8th), which has brought great risks to Taiwan. She pointed out that the current international situation is turbulent, and the Middle East war continues to escalate, affecting global energy supply. "Taiwan is running out of air," but the DPP still clings to its wrong policies, saying, "The DPP has killed Taiwan!"

Zheng Liwen came to Pingtung County for the New Year's gathering, accompanied by County Council Chairman Zhou Dianlun and Legislator Su Qingquan.

It's been a while since I saw Zhou Dianlun, and I thought he went to jail.

Zhou Dianlun was sentenced to three years and two months in prison in the second trial, but later the Taiwan High Court revoked the second trial's judgment, and now it has entered the "retrial" status, so he does not need to serve prison time for now.

According to relevant laws in Taiwan, the charges involved in Zhou Dianlun do not trigger the immediate suspension rule after the second trial judgment, so he is still serving as the chairman of the Pingtung County Council.

According to the current progress, the judgment result of the retrial is likely to be announced in the second half of this year.

Zhou Dianlun has been re-elected as the chairman of the Pingtung County Council for multiple terms and is widely recognized as the "King of Pingtung."

If the Kuomintang wants to reclaim the position of Pingtung County Magistrate this year, Zhou Dianlun's support is indispensable.
