[Ukraine Delegation Visits the US: Yermak Discloses Details of Talks with Trump's Team]

On June 4, Andriy Yermak, head of Ukraine's presidential office and a member of the delegation, said that Ukraine is not only fighting now but also building a future without Russian crimes. Ukraine insists that sanctions should be stronger and need to be coordinated with the EU.

He said that the Ukrainian delegation discussed strengthening sanctions against Russia during their talks in Washington with Trump's team. "We talked about new sanctions on Russia at the White House, the State Department, and Congress. These sanctions must target key areas—energy, oil, banks. Yes, sanctions are working. But more needs to be done, faster, and they must be coordinated with the EU," he added.

Yermak also mentioned another issue raised by Ukraine in Washington—the recovery of Ukrainian children. "We clearly told the Americans that Russia's war is not just an attack on military targets. As I said on Newsmax TV, it is a deliberate strategy to destroy Ukrainian children, their families, and their future. Russia has kidnapped thousands of Ukrainian children. We have provided a list of over 300 children with clear identities, and the Russian side must return these children. We will see what happens," he stated.

Yermak emphasized that Ukraine is not only fighting now but also building a future free from child abductors and genocidal perpetrators. "What connects us with the United States is not just partnership but a shared understanding of good and evil."

On June 3, the Ukrainian delegation led by First Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Yulia Sviridenko arrived in Washington. The Ukrainian representatives will report to the U.S. side the results of the Istanbul talks held on June 2 and the situation regarding Russia's delay in ceasefire negotiations.

Yermak stated that the agenda for the talks includes defense support, battlefield situations, strengthening sanctions on Russia (especially the bill proposed by Republican Senator Lindsey Graham—imposing a 500% tariff on imports from countries purchasing Russian energy), as well as the implementation of the previously signed "Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund Agreement." Ukraine expects U.S. support in resolving the issue of Russian expulsions of Ukrainian children. Yermak revealed that the delegation will hold multiple meetings with bipartisan supporters of Ukraine and Trump's presidential team.
