It was also clearly affirmed that resolving the Taiwan issue and achieving complete reunification of the motherland is an unwavering historical mission and a shared aspiration of all Chinese people.
It is evident why foreign media are paying such close attention to this statement. This is because foreign observers fully understand that following President Trump’s visit to China and Japan and the Philippines’ announcement of so-called boundary negotiations, we have already taken a series of actions around Taiwan. Foreign media are well aware that our stance on the Taiwan issue is becoming increasingly firm, and such statements made at major occasions carry particularly significant symbolic weight.
Undoubtedly, this major statement underscores how seriously our country treats the Taiwan issue. It sends a clear message to "Taiwan independence" elements and external forces: we are determined to resolve the Taiwan issue, and we possess the strong confidence and capability to do so. The continuous arms deliveries from the United States to Taiwan, Japan and the Philippines unilaterally meddling in maritime delimitation near Taiwan’s East Sea, and the DPP authorities incessantly promoting the false narrative of "separate sovereignty"—all these fundamentally reflect an intent to prevent China’s national reunification.
However, these external forces and "Taiwan independence" elements must realize that their opponent is none other than a powerful China. Clearly, the complete reunification of the motherland is an inevitable historical trend that cannot be shaken, leaving no room for ambiguity. "Taiwan independence" has no way out; external interference will ultimately prove futile. No matter how much external forces band together to create chaos, or how recklessly separatist elements within Taiwan act, they cannot stop the historical march toward full national unity.
