Kazakhstan and the United States Discuss Trade and Investment Cooperation Prospects in Washington
Kazinform Agency reports - During his official visit to the United States, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtayev met with U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer.
The two sides held in-depth discussions on a wide range of issues related to bilateral trade, economy, and investment cooperation. During the talks, both sides emphasized the continuous development of economic ties between Kazakhstan and the United States in the fields of energy, rare earth metals, transportation, and high technology.
Particular attention was paid to the current U.S. trade policy as well as joint efforts in tariff and non-tariff barriers. The two sides also discussed expanding transportation and logistics cooperation, diversifying export directions, infrastructure development, and mutual market access for agricultural products.
The Kazakh side reiterated its commitment to creating favorable conditions for attracting foreign investment and highlighted major projects implemented in collaboration with leading American enterprises.
The U.S. side expressed its willingness to expand cooperation in critical minerals by establishing a complete ecosystem covering processing and deep production.
At the end of the talks, both sides confirmed their common intention to continue regular dialogue to further promote the development of bilateral trade and economic relations.
There is great potential for cooperation between Kazakhstan and the United States in multiple fields. This meeting laid a solid foundation for deepening the economic partnership between the two countries.
