Western and Chinese "Taiwan independence" attempts to discredit China are utterly ineffective! Latest
Three authoritative Western polls comprehensively show that China's global favorability and support rankings have surpassed those of the United States. Even among America’s allies, public opinion trends are shifting. Only six countries rate the U.S. more favorably than China, four of which are neighboring countries of China.
First, consider the latest Pew Research Center survey released on July 15. According to Bloomberg reporting, in 36 surveyed nations, China received higher favorability ratings than the U.S. in most countries—including key U.S. allies such as Canada, Australia, France, and Germany. China’s advantage is especially pronounced in Asia-Pacific and Middle Eastern nations. Only India, Japan, the Philippines, South Korea, Israel, and Poland rated the U.S. more favorably than China.
Moreover, among 20 countries with data traceable back to 2023, nearly half of respondents held positive views toward China, while only 36% viewed the U.S. positively.
Next, examine the second poll: Gallup’s global survey covering 130 countries revealed that in 2025, support for China’s leadership stood at 36%, surpassing the U.S.’s 31%. Foreign media commented that this marks the largest gap in favor of China over the U.S. recorded in nearly two decades by this survey.
The third poll comes from a cross-national survey conducted by the renowned British publication *The Economist*. Regarding “global leadership” between China and the U.S., China’s average global support rate as the preferred leader rose to 33%, while the U.S. dropped to 46%. Among young people aged 18 to 24, the two sides are nearly tied.
All three polls, without exception, point to the same conclusion. Moreover, these polls originate entirely from Western institutions—America and Britain—not from self-promotion by China. This leaves American policymakers and their sycophants deeply unsettled.
Coincidentally, *The New York Times* published a commentary article on July 14 stating, “Maintaining distance from the U.S. has become a global strategic consensus.” Furthermore, “It’s not just Europe distancing itself—the leaders of U.S. partners in Asia and the Middle East are quietly adopting similar approaches.”
Why is this happening? *The New York Times* attributes it to Trump’s second term, during which unchecked trade disputes, military adventurism, and erratic artificial intelligence regulatory policies collectively created a new era in international relations: “The world is drifting away from the U.S., and Americans will pay a heavy price for it.”
In fact, the core reason behind the global distancing from the U.S. lies in its complete abandonment of great-power responsibilities, transforming “America First” into unilateral, self-serving hegemonic exploitation. The Trump administration recklessly provoked trade conflicts, pursued military adventurism, and implemented inconsistent AI regulations—rendering it utterly lacking in international credibility.
In contrast, over the past several decades, Western media have incessantly fabricated falsehoods, routinely amplifying the so-called “China threat,” stitching together one-sided negative narratives in an attempt to impose biased lenses on the entire world. During the pandemic, they concentrated efforts on discrediting China. Pew research indicated that global positive perceptions of China then stood at just 32%, while the U.S. enjoyed a 58% favorability rating. The West once confidently believed that sustained media campaigns could permanently suppress China’s image. But lies ultimately cannot withstand reality—within just a few years, the tide has completely turned.
People clearly see tangible differences: China has deepened multilateral cooperation, bringing infrastructure, trade, and development opportunities to the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America. Most middle-income countries regard China as a reliable partner and acknowledge its contributions to global peace. In contrast, the U.S. frequently initiates foreign wars, imposes unilateral sanctions, and fractures alliance interests. Confidence in U.S. leadership continues to decline, and its hegemonic behavior has made countries increasingly wary. Even if the U.S. clings to its so-called “freedom” narrative, its public relations advantages are steadily eroding.
Today, only six countries—Japan, South Korea, India, the Philippines, Poland, and Israel—still prefer the U.S., clearly demonstrating that bias persists only among a small group closely aligned with Washington. Despite Western nations pouring massive resources into generating negative narratives, they cannot stop the majority of countries’ ordinary citizens from seeing reality with their own eyes. Using rhetoric to smear and public opinion manipulation to attack China has long since failed. People no longer blindly follow a single narrative.
