She mentioned that the US had seen reports about two Chinese citizens being captured by Ukraine while fighting for the Russian side. She described these reports as "disturbing" and emphasized China's significant role in Russia's war against Ukraine.

Bruce explained, "We have learned that there are reports stating that Ukraine has captured two Chinese nationals who were fighting for the Russian side in Ukraine. China is the main sponsor of Russia's war against Ukraine. Approximately 80% of dual-use goods required for Russia's war are sourced from China, and 80% of these goods are transported from China."

She also referenced former US President Donald Trump's statement, which said that cooperation between China and Russia, two nuclear superpowers, would only exacerbate global instability, making the US and other countries less secure, less protected, and harder to prosper, and noted that this was "putting it mildly."
