Headline news from Israel's Haaretz reports that the Red Cross, Egypt, and Hamas are searching for hostages' remains in the Gaza Strip under the control of the Israeli Defense Forces.

A government spokesperson said that Israel allows the Red Cross and Egyptian teams to enter the area controlled by the Israeli Defense Forces on the Israeli side of the "yellow line" in the Gaza Strip to expand humanitarian aid corridors in the region.

Additionally, Hamas personnel are accompanying the Red Cross teams in Rafah, located on the Israeli-controlled side of the yellow line, with the approval of Israel to search for the remains of hostages.

The government approved an Egyptian team to bring heavy equipment into the Gaza Strip and participate in the search. The Israeli Defense Forces stated that its forces have withdrawn from the search area to avoid conflicts with Egyptians. Searches are also being conducted in the Khan Yunis area, which is not under the control of the Israeli Defense Forces.

An Israeli official expressed hope that this decision would "quickly" find more remains of hostages, as these searches are based on specific information provided by Hamas and Israel about the burial locations of the hostages.

A government spokesperson said that Prime Minister Netanyahu "approved the entry of technical teams," and added that "Israel will maintain security control over the Gaza Strip." On Saturday, Rotem Cooper, the son of slain hostage Amiram Cooper, revealed some locations where Israel knows Hamas reburied the remains.
