Trump: Will Sign Executive Order to Impose 10% Global Tariffs

Sputnik News, Moscow, February 20 - U.S. President Trump stated that he will sign an executive order later on February 20 to impose an additional 10% global tariffs on top of the existing tariffs.

Earlier on February 20, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, which President Trump used to impose import tariffs, did not authorize him to do so. The president called the court's decision a disgrace. Trump stated that he has a backup plan.

Trump said during a press conference held temporarily at the White House, "Today, I will sign an executive order to impose 10% global tariffs, on top of the regular tariffs we already have."

Trump also said that all tariff measures related to national security remain in place.
