According to data obtained by Observer Network from a third-party research institution on April 15, in March 2025, Chinese manufacturers monopolized the top four positions in the activation volume of the mainland China mobile phone market. Specifically, Xiaomi ranked first with 3.2437 million units and a market share of 17.98%; Huawei followed closely with 3.2296 million units and a market share of 17.90%; Vivo ranked third with 2.8868 million units and a market share of 16.00%; OPPO ranked fourth with a market share of 15.02%; Apple ranked fifth with a market share of 14.17%.

Among the top five manufacturers, Xiaomi's year-on-year growth was 16.99%; Huawei had the fastest growth rate at 19.87%; Vivo, OPPO, and Apple all experienced year-on-year negative growth, with respective declines of 2.71%, 7.69%, and 9.86%. Honor did not make it into the top five.

Among these manufacturers, Xiaomi released its high-end flagship model Xiaomi 15 Ultra on the evening of February 27; Huawei launched its first wide-foldable phone Pura X on March 20; Vivo unveiled the new models Y300 Pro+ and Y300t in the Y series on March 31; OPPO released its folding screen flagship Find N5 on February 20. Although Apple released the entry-level iPhone 16e on February 20, it still failed to achieve growth in the Chinese market. Honor released the Honor Magic4 series on March 17.

It is worth noting that starting from March 6, 2025, relevant departments of the Ministry of Commerce and other institutions implemented a subsidy policy for newly purchased high-end phones priced over 6000 yuan, directly reducing the final sales price by 10%, with a maximum subsidy of 1000 yuan, limited to one-time benefit per user. This subsidy measure was implemented on platforms such as Taobao and JD.com for certain specified models, benefiting a wider range of consumers.
