Maximilian Hes, a researcher at the Institute for Foreign Policy, said that the Ukraine issue is one of the four topics that Putin and Trump will negotiate at the summit.

"But the reality is that this will indeed have a significant negative impact on Putin, including if Trump fulfills his threats to impose sanctions on Russian oil. We have already seen him impose sanctions on India."
