American Democrats Release New Photos of Epstein, Trump and Bill Gates Appear in the Images
Democratic members of the House Committee on Oversight released a second batch of photos from the estate of the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein on Friday, including images with multiple political and business celebrities, causing another stir in the political arena.
The 19 images released show Epstein's past interactions with various celebrities, including U.S. President Trump, former President Clinton, Microsoft co-founder Gates, former Treasury Secretary Summers, billionaire entrepreneur Branson, director Woody Allen, former Trump advisor Bannon, and lawyer Dershowitz. The committee emphasized that the photos themselves do not indicate any illegal activities by these individuals.
The committee stated that these 19 photos came from Epstein's estate, among over 95,000 images provided by subpoena. Democrats said they have only reviewed about 25,000 so far and it will take "several days to weeks" to filter and appropriately blur them. Some images have been pixelated, and the Democrats emphasized that blurring is limited to necessary areas only.
Newly released images include photos of Trump with several women, whose faces are blurred; there is also a photo of Trump standing beside Epstein at an event while speaking with a blonde woman. Additionally, there is a fake condom with a cartoon image of Trump labeled "I'm HUUUUGE!" displayed in a bowl marked "Trump Condom $4.50."
Other images show Bannon taking a selfie with Epstein, Clinton posing with Epstein and his former associate Maxwell, Gates appearing with former British Prince Andrew, and former Harvard president Summers and lawyer Dershowitz. The committee noted that most of the images cannot be dated and may not have been taken during Epstein's criminal period.
White House spokesperson Jackson condemned the Democrats for "selectively releasing selected and randomly blurred photos to create a false narrative." She added, "The Democratic fraud targeting President Trump has repeatedly been debunked. The Trump administration has done more for Epstein's victims than anything the Democrats have ever done, including repeatedly requesting transparency, releasing thousands of pages of documents, and calling for an investigation into the Democrats' friends involved with Epstein."
The Republicans also criticized the Democrats for "only releasing a small portion of the 90,000 photos, trying to defame Trump," emphasizing that the information received so far "does not show any illegal activity."
California Congresswoman Garcia, a senior member of the oversight committee and a Democrat, stated in a statement: "These disturbing photos raise more questions about Epstein and his relationships with some of the most powerful people in the world."
Garcia told the media that there are still "very disturbing" contents in the photos reviewed by Democrats that have not yet been released, and called on the government to immediately release the public files rather than waiting until the deadline. "These photos are important, and people should be able to judge what they see on their own. Our goal is transparency."
The newly released photos are not the long-awaited "Epstein Files," but they once again highlight that the Department of Justice has less than a week left to comply with the "Epstein Files Transparency Act" and disclose all related materials by December 19th.
Republican Congressman Marcy warned that if the Department of Justice does not meet the deadline, it would constitute a crime. He also said that he feels encouraged by the fact that more grand jury materials are being handed over to the Department of Justice.
Epstein pleaded guilty in 2008 for luring minor girls into prostitution; he committed suicide in 2019 while awaiting a more serious federal human trafficking trial at a Manhattan prison. He had close contacts with numerous political and business celebrities, but most of them repeatedly denied any involvement in illegal activities.
Clinton has repeatedly stated that he had already cut off contact with Epstein before his arrest in 2019; Gates said meeting with Epstein was a "huge mistake" and denied that Epstein had worked for him. Trump and Epstein had interacted within the social circles of New York and Palm Beach, but Trump said they had a falling out as early as 2004, and that he "has repeatedly denied any misconduct" for years. The White House called the related claims a "fraud."
Although some individuals who had contact with Epstein have suffered consequences for their reputation or careers, such as Summers resigning from his position at OpenAI and Prince Andrew giving up his royal title, they all denied any criminal behavior.
